Recap: Orange Lutheran Lancers vs. St. John Bosco Braves
The Orange Lutheran Lancers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 66-41 walloping at the hands of St. John Bosco. Orange Lutheran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John Bosco to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elzie Harrington, who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. Max Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Orange Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for St. John Bosco, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Lutheran will take on Santa Margarita at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Margarita presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Orange Lutheran in California (Santa Margarita is ranked 34th, while Orange Lutheran is ranked 181st). As for St. John Bosco, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against JSerra Catholic at 7:00 p.m. JSerra Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
