Baseball Recap: Purnell Swett Victorious

Purnell Swett hadn't done well against Scotland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Purnell Swett Rams walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Scotland Fighting Scots. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Chandon Sanderson, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Scotland off the board.

At the plate, Purnell Swett's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Conley Jacobs, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Purnell Swett back to even at 1-1. As for Scotland, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
