Basketball Game Preview: Silex Owls vs. Wellsville-Middletown Tigers

Silex is 1-8 against Wellsville-Middletown since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Silex Owls will head out to challenge the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Silex is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They were dealt an 86-46 loss at the hands of St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K.

Meanwhile, Wellsville-Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by Bowling Green 70-22. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while the Bobcats are ranked 127th).

Silex's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Wellsville-Middletown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Things could have been worse for Silex, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-37 loss to Wellsville-Middletown in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Can Silex avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
