Franklin Community hadn't done well against Mooresville recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Grizzly Cubs walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Pioneers. This was payback for the Grizzly Cubs, who suffered an 11-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Annabelle Richter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adeline Blackwell, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Addie Martin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin Community kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.

Franklin Community's record now sits at 7-5. As for Mooresville, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.
