Basketball Recap: Bay City Baptist Comes Up Short

Bay City Baptist came up into this matchup off a tough 24-point defeat back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Oakhill Christian Royals by a score of 27-24 on Friday. Bay City Baptist was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oakhill Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Oakhill Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Harman, who posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Harman is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Isaac Vogel was another key player, putting up ten points along with five boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Bay City Baptist and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Oakhill Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Bay City Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakhill Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-38 defeat against Faith Christian on the 18th.
