Basketball Recap: Elyce Rymer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grundy County over Briarwood Christian

The Grundy County Yellowjackets lost 65-45 to the Briarwood Christian Lions on Saturday.

Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elyce Rymer, who posted ten points. Kasadee Crabtree was another key player, putting up ten points.

Grundy County's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Briarwood Christian, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Grundy County will venture away from home to challenge Battle Creek at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Grundy County is facing Battle Creek at the right time seeing as Battle Creek is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Briarwood Christian and Shades Valley will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Briarwood Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
