New Albany owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They blew past the St. Charles Cardinals 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

New Albany is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for St. Charles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-17.
