Basketball Recap: Godwin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Prince George last Wednesday, Godwin came back down to earth. The Godwin Eagles fell just short of the Deep Run Wildcats by a score of 47-44 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since February 13, 2024.

Godwin's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Deep Run, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

When Godwin and Deep Run next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Godwin will square off against J.R. Tucker and their seven-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Godwin is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Deep Run will try to stop Atlee's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
