Baseball Recap: Belfast Find Success

Belfast had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 10-4 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders, sneaking past 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Joseph Parker, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Abbott, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

As for John Bapst Memorial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs.

On John Bapst Memorial's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Boudreau, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Boudreau's first of the season.
