Baseball Recap: Atmore Christian Comes Up Short

Atmore Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors, falling 26-5.

Ethan Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season. Ben Landis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Atmore Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Atmore Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-7 defeat against Pensacola Christian Academy on the 14th. West Florida Baptist Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Trinitas Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
