Football Game Preview: Klein Bearkats vs. Tomball Memorial Wildcats + How To Watch

Klein is 1-6 against Tomball Memorial since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bearkats will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Klein will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Klein and Klein Oak, and Klein Oak kept the tradition alive. The Bearkats took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on October 9th (50), the Bearkats still had to take the loss.

Defeat or not, Klein got some senior leadership from Grant Stratta and Edward Kelly Jr. Stratta threw for 214 yards and three TDs while completing 85% of his passes, while Kelly Jr gained 252 total yards and two touchdowns. Kelly Jr's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards. Turbo Jordan Jr was Stratta's top target, picking up 79 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Tomball Memorial came into Friday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 31-26 victory over Magnolia West on Friday.

Tomball Memorial's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Klein, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Klein came up short against Tomball Memorial in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 49-40. Thankfully for the Bearkats, Aiden Martin (who threw for 293 yards and three TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 91 yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
