Volleyball Game Preview: La Quinta Blackhawks vs. Shadow Hills Knights

The La Quinta Blackhawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Shadow Hills Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

La Quinta came up short against Xavier Prep on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Shadow Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Rancho Mirage on Wednesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Shadow Hills was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-21.

La Quinta has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Shadow Hills, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-12.

La Quinta was able to grind out a solid win over Shadow Hills in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Knights' Samantha Perez, who had 33 digs and one assist.
