Baseball Recap: Glenville Takes a Loss

Glenville extended their losing streak to nine on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They came up short against the Brooklyn Hurricanes, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tarblooders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Brooklyn, their record is now 5-14. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the game before.

For Brooklyn's part, Tyler Cox was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave Cox a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Baker, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Glenville and Brooklyn are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tarblooders will head out to square off against University School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brooklyn, they will welcome Euclid at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
