Soccer Recap: Battery Creek Comes Up Short

Battery Creek was the 3-0 winner over Hilton Head Prep when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Battery Creek took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hilton Head Prep on Tuesday. Battery Creek has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Battery Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-2. As for Hilton Head Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Battery Creek will venture away from home to face off against Colleton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Battery Creek will be up against Colleton County's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will face off against Hilton Head Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Prep's defense better be ready for this one: Hilton Head Christian Academy have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season.
