Softball Recap: Captain Shreve Drops Highest Score of Season Against Doyline

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Captain Shreve). Everything went their way against the Doyline Panthers on Wednesday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. Considering the Gators have won 12 matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Captain Shreve's third in a row) raised their record to 18-13. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Doyline, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Captain Shreve will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
