Basketball Game Preview: Christian Community Colts vs. Clarksville Wildcats

The Christian Community Colts and the Clarksville Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Christian Community comes in on four and Clarksville on eight.

If Christian Community beats Clarksville with 41 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Christian Community came out on top against Oak Ridge Christian Academy by a score of 41-29 on Tuesday.

Christian Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but M.J. Dodd led the charge by putting up nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Dodd is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was B.J. Head, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Clarksville against Northwest on Wednesday as the squad secured a 55-11 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Vikings are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christian Community's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Clarksville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.
