Softball Game Preview: North Polars vs. Mounds View Mustangs

The North Polars will challenge the Mounds View Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Park just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 4-1 to the Wolfpack. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Polars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Mounds View suffered their biggest loss since May 1st on Wednesday. They came up short against East Ridge, falling 16-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Raptors: they've now lost five in a row.

Mounds View's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.

Everything went North's way against Mounds View when the teams last played back in May of 2023, as North made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Polars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
