Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Warriors vs. Capital Cougars

The Riverside Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Capital Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Riverside barely beat Parkersburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Riverside put the hurt on Parkersburg with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Levi Osborne made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Osborne was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Tug Eggleton was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jacob Shanklin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI.

Meanwhile, Capital got the win against Poca on Thursday by a conclusive 26-1.
