Baseball Recap: Natchez Comes Up Short

Natchez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 17-3 to the South Jones Braves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Natchez saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Sewell, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Natchez's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for South Jones, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

While Natchez had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
