Volleyball Recap: Chadron Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chadron entered their tilt with Sidney on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win last Saturday.

Chadron had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-16.

Chadron had a senior duo take command as Raylie Pourier had 23 digs and two aces and Vrasai Sayaloune had 16 digs. Pourier has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Chadron was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Sidney still got an impressive performance from Callie Bondegard, who had nine digs and three assists.

Chadron's record is now 17-12. As for Sidney, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Chadron will venture away from home to take on Valentine at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sidney, they will head out to square off against North Platte at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
