Volleyball Recap: Princeton Vikings vs. Middletown Middies
Princeton was the 3-1 winner over Middletown when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Princeton Vikings fell just short of the Middletown Middies by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Princeton actually scored more points across those five sets (112-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. After all that action, the final score was 13-25, 25-21, 27-26, 19-25, 17-15.
Even though they lost, Princeton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Middletown, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will play host again on Thursday to welcome Fairfield, where is scheduled at 6:00 p.m. As for Middletown, they will face off against Colerain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
