Softball Recap: White Oak's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

White Oak dropped their record down to 11-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 10-3 to the Dixon Bulldogs. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

White Oak saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Wiggs, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

As for Dixon, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.

On Dixon's side, Kailei Dawsey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Tina Feliciano was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. White Oak will face off against rival Richlands at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dixon is set to challenge their familiar foe Croatan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
