Football Recap: Academic Magnet Raptors vs. Burke Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodland, Academic Magnet was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 13-12 photo finish over the Burke Bulldogs. The win was some much needed relief for the Raptors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
The critical scores for Academic Magnet came from Campbell Stoklosa and Keveon Ford.
Academic Magnet's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Burke, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Academic Magnet will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Barnwell at 7:30 p.m. on November 15th. Barnwell will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Academic Magnet surely won't give up without a fight. Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
