Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kynlee Speed and Ella Robertson Lead Sumrall to Victory + How To Watch

Sumrall won the last time they faced Purvis and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats came out on top against the Tornadoes by a score of 55-42. The game marked the Bobcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Leading Sumrall to victory were Ella Robertson and Kynlee Speed. Robertson posted 17 points, while Speed had 13 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Robertson's big performance that evening made it 17 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cha'Dai Dillion, who scored seven points and seven rebounds.

Sumrall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Sumrall's record now sits at 3-5. As for Purvis, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Sumrall and Purvis will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Sumrall sees the court they'll take on Presbyterian Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Purvis, their break will end when they face West Marion at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
