Softball Recap: Navarre Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Navarre rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Crestview Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

The result came thanks to Kaleigh Atchley's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Natalia Taylor was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Navarre's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Crestview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.

Coming up, Navarre will square off against Pace at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 3.7, the Patriots 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Crestview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
