Basketball Game Preview: Lemmon Cowboys vs. Harding County Ranchers

Lemmon and Harding County are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Lemmon Cowboys will face off against the Harding County Ranchers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lemmon will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Lemmon didn't have too much trouble with Dupree as they won 58-43.

Meanwhile, Harding County came up short against Dupree on Tuesday and fell 61-52.

Lemmon will have to contain Cohen Smith as he made an impact in Harding County's last game. He went 8 for 10 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. What's more, Smith also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Ryder Hunsucker was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Even though they lost, Harding County was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Harding County's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lemmon, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Lemmon against Harding County in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lemmon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
