Basketball Recap: Manning Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Manning, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They managed a 70-64 victory over the Scott's Branch Eagles on Friday. The Monarchs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Frajon Bennett, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyren Bowman, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Manning picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Scott's Branch, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Manning didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-46 win against Myrtle Beach on the 13th. As for Scott's Branch, they will be home for the holidays to greet Crestwood at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
