Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Forbush

Forbush had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Mount Airy Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 on Tuesday.

Trey Speaks was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bo Moxley, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Forbush was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Forbush now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Mount Airy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forbush will welcome North Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Airy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
