Recap: Reno Huskies vs. Galena Grizzlies
The Reno Huskies can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Galena and snuck past 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Reno has posted yet this season.
Reno got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Yolanda Reyes out in front who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kindle Rowe, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Reno now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Galena, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reno will play host again and welcome Spanish Springs, where tip off is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Layni Noonkester and Rowe. As for Galena, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bishop Manogue at 5:15 p.m. Bishop Manogue is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
