Volleyball Recap: Grain Valley Comes Up Short

Grain Valley suffered their biggest defeat since March 30, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Park Hill South Panthers, falling 3-0. It was the first time this season that the Eagles let down their fans at home.

Grain Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Maddox Dresslaer paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dresslaer got some help from Jordan Jackson and his 15 assists.

Park Hill South had a senior duo take command as Aiden Wallace had 11 digs and three aces and Dlast Istaro had 17 assists and six digs.

Grain Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Park Hill South, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Grain Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Raytown on the 8th. As for Park Hill South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Oak Park on the 8th.
