Canby had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Yellow Medicine East on Tuesday. The Lancers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sting. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Sting: they've now won nine in a row.

Canby never let Yellow Medicine East on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-10.

Karlie Wollum paced Canby's offense, picking up 16 kills. Wollum got some help from Emily Nelson and her 22 assists. Grace Hansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Canby's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Yellow Medicine East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
