Basketball Recap: River Mill Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Aydan Smith and David Wood

River Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oxford Prep Griffins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 70-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, River Mill had strong showings from David Wood, who posted 16 points, and Aydan Smith, who earned 12 points. Wood is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.

River Mill's record is now 0-3. As for Oxford Prep, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.
