Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Key Sharks vs. Wildwood Wildcats

The Cedar Key Sharks will venture away from home to face off against the Wildwood Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Key will be strutting in after a victory while Wildwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Cedar Key made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Meadowbrook Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Cedar Key put the hurt on Meadowbrook Academy with a sharp 22-3 win on Monday.

Meanwhile, Wildwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against St. John Lutheran, falling 9-1.

Wildwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emory Strickland, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Strickland got this season.

Wildwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cedar Key, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
