The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will head out on the road to face off against the Steamboat Springs Sailors at 7:00 p.m. Steamboat Springs took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Lupton, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, everything went Fort Lupton's way against The Academy as Fort Lupton made off with a 40-20 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Lupton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaidyn Taylor, who rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns. Royce Guerrero and his 114 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Fort Lupton's victory.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 32 points the game before, Steamboat Springs were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 40-7 defeat at the hands of Forge Christian.
Fort Lupton's win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Steamboat Springs, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Fort Lupton strolled past Steamboat Springs in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 52-35. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Steamboat Springs' Cade Gedeon, who threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
