Preview: Hale Center Owls vs. Ralls Jackrabbits
The Hale Center Owls will head out on the road to challenge the Ralls Jackrabbits at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Hale Center has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 368 points over their last five matchups.
Hale Center pushed their score all the way to 73 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Floydada.
Meanwhile, Ralls was beaten by Olton 71-38 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Ralls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1337th, while Olton is ranked 641st).
Hale Center's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-9. As for Ralls, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 14 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Hale Center against Ralls in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 80-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hale Center since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
