Basketball Recap: Long Reach Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Long Reach and Atholton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Long Reach had to settle for second. They lost 61-40 to the Atholton Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lightning have suffered against the Raiders since March 2, 2022.

Atholton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Johnson, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 16 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in field goal percentage (71%). Bryce Inabinet was another key player, putting up eight points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Long Reach has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Atholton and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

As of now, neither Long Reach nor Atholton have any future games scheduled.
