Softball Recap: South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] Has No Trouble Against Oxford

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Oxford Wildcats with a sharp 18-11 win. This was a revenge game for the Outlaws: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Thursday, they had to take a 15-8 loss.

The team relied heavily on Ella Risley, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Rohrbaugh, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Risley wasn't the only one working in the hit department: South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 20 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
