Volleyball Recap: Lee Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After flying high against New Garden Friends on Tuesday, Lee Christian came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Crossroads Christian Colts on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

While Lee Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

Sophie Wade had an outrageously good game for Crossroads Christian as she had 26 digs and four aces. Those 26 digs gave Wade a new career-high.

Lee Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Crossroads Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Lee Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crossroads Christian, they will challenge The Burlington School at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
