Basketball Recap: Pleasantville Comes Up Short

Pleasantville lost against Des Moines Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pleasantville Trojans lost 73-53 to the Des Moines Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Lions are ranked 85th).

Pleasantville now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Des Moines Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Pleasantville will challenge Van Meter on Monday. Van Meter will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Pleasantville surely won't give up without a fight. Des Moines Christian has already played their next matchup, a 78-72 defeat against Kuemper on the 25th.
