Softball Recap: Mcmahon Falls to Shelton in First Game of Season

McMahon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Shelton Gaels on Saturday, falling 13-1. The Senators were not able to make up for their loss to the Gaels from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

Alexa Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

McMahon has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Bunnell on the 9th. As for Shelton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-2 win against Hand on the 9th.
