Basketball Recap: Miller Career Academy Takes a Loss

Miller Career Academy suffered their biggest loss since February 5, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by the Vashon Wolverines and fell 83-45. While losing is never fun, Miller Career Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Vashon is ranked second).

Miller Career Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Vashon, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Miller Career Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Vashon has already played their next contest (against MICDS), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
