The Concord Pirates will head out to challenge the Parkview Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Concord is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
On Tuesday, Concord got the win against Viola by a conclusive 11-1. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

L Cornett spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, M Balentine and L Brackett did most of the damage at the plate: Balentine went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Brackett went 3-for-4 with five RBI. Those three hits gave Brackett a new career-high. K Devers was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Concord was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Parkview was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to Benton. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Parkview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauryn Foster, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Parkview's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Concord, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Concord hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .425. However, it's not like Parkview struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
