Volleyball Game Preview: Hemphill Hornets vs. Groveton Indians + How To Watch

The Hemphill Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Groveton Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Hemphill got the win against San Augustine by a conclusive 3-0. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

While Hemphill won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Groveton made easy work of Shelbyville on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Groveton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Shelbyville to exactly 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.

Hemphill's victory bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Groveton, their win bumped their record up to 17-14.

Hemphill might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Groveton when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
