Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Dark Horses vs. James Kenan Tigers

Clinton is on a seven-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, James Kenan a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Clinton Dark Horses will welcome the James Kenan Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Clinton came up short against South Lenoir and fell 61-50.

Despite their loss, Clinton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Henry Bass, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards, was perhaps the best of all. Bass is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Wright, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, James Kenan also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Midway by a score of 71-58.

James Kenan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Clinton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against James Kenan in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win. Will Clinton repeat their success, or does James Kenan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
