Volleyball Recap: Highland Tech Beats Bessemer City for Their Fourth Straight Victory + How To Watch

Highland Tech waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets 3-0. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Highland Tech was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-5, 25-14.

Carsyn Redmond was the offensive standout of the contest as she had four digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Riley Decker, who had seven digs and two assists.

They weren't the only good server: Highland Tech was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Highland Tech's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bessemer City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
