Basketball Recap: Lutheran South Comes Up Short

Lutheran South played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Parkway South Patriots, falling 85-45. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-28.

It was another big night for Noah Barnes, who shot 9-for-11 from deep and dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 assists for Parkway South. That makes it three consecutive games in which Barnes has scored at least a third of Parkway South's points. Jacob Sidwell was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 16 points.

Lutheran South dropped their record down to 5-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Parkway South, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

It'll be Northside v. Southside when Lutheran South and Lutheran North meet at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Parkway South, they will square off against Rockwood Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Parkway South's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
