Sacred Heart Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Ellington on Thursday. The Sharks put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northwestern Regional had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1.

Northwestern Regional's win came from a few key players Sacred Heart Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sophie Stanulis, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Northwestern Regional's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.

Everything went Sacred Heart Academy's way against Northwestern Regional in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Sacred Heart Academy made off with a 3-0 victory.
