Basketball Recap: King/Drew Comes Up Short

King/Drew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Poly Parrots and fell 57-30. The match marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

King/Drew's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Poly, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

King/Drew and Poly could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. King/Drew (ranked 946th) will meet Inglewood (ranked fourth) at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Poly will take on Bullard at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday down 193 places (353 vs. 160).
