While Overton put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Waskom. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-0 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Bryleigh Nelson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Perkins, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Overton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 11 consecutive games.

Overton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Waskom, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Overton has already played their next contest, a 12-3 win against Ore City on the 1st. As for Waskom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-11 loss against Elysian Fields on the 1st.
