Basketball Game Preview: Kearny Kardinals vs. North Bergen Bruins

Kearny is 1-7 against North Bergen since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Kearny Kardinals will venture away from home to square off against the North Bergen Bruins. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Kearny lost to American History on the road by a 75-59 margin. While losing is never fun, the Kardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Eagles are ranked 115th).

Meanwhile, North Bergen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hoboken.

North Bergen's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Kearny, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Kearny was dealt a bruising 84-50 defeat at the hands of North Bergen in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Can Kearny avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
